Arcane. Not really at all related to the video game it technically is advertising... but really well done with good characters and art. It is animation, but it is an adult show with adult issues - death, drugs, politics, ethics... did I mention death?

Three-quarters through the Netflix O.J. documentary.
I’m beginning to think this O.J. guy may have killed his wife.

The second season of Severance, by contrast, is spectacularly good.
Four shows into the second season, and we still have no idea what the hell is going on.

Season three of Reacher is okay so far? Better than S2 I guess? Some crummy supporting actors. They went overboard with the color grading.
Two episodes into Zero Day and it’s kinda bad and corny. I just shut my brain off and let it be what it is.

Is there a new twist to it? The recipe to have super huge perfect guy beat bad guys to a pulp gets kinda old.

Not really? He’s mostly solo at least.
It does feel like the first three episodes are a prologue, so we’ll see.
I’m still enjoying it though. Richtson is entertaining.

Finished Zero Day. Add “confusing” to “kinda bad” and “corny”.
Still an acceptable time waster. There are moments where if you squint, it’s like 24.

Just watched the first episode of Pachinko (TV+).
Really liking it so far.
Basically it looks like the family history of a little girl originally from Japanese-occupied Korea 1915 tied in with her semi-bigshot grandson returning home from Manhattan to Ōsaka, Japan, in 1989 (right when I lived next door in Kōbe) to close a massive real estate deal.

Watching The Staircase true crime documentary about Michael Peterson. I know almost nothing about the case.
Remarkable how much they filmed during the trial, especially this early into “reality TV”. It’s also a fascinating time capsule.

Enjoyed the first season. Watched it with my ex, who’s a therapist. She gave it high marks for capturing what it’s like on the inside.
My one criticism is…
The social dynamic between the characters feels like college students living in a dorm, not adults with their own independently established lives.

I think Severance is the smartest series on show at the moment. Lynch like, last episode was brutal.
But I refuse to watch Zoolander

Crazy scary how good this anime is. The only downside for S2 is that it felt a little rushed and forced due to we only have so many episodes to tell this story. Still some of the best character arcs and storylines.

Apple TV: Bad Monkey. Based on the book, in some respects better (stronger female characters, etc). Strong casting. While the internet has feelings, my major quibble with the differences from the book is that the Monkey is not even naughty.

I've been enjoying School Spirits Season 2. Looks like they're paying the writers well - quality is holding, or even going up. No word yet on an S3 renewal.

We really liked S1 of School Spirits, and are crossing our fingers that S2 eventually finds its way over to Netflix like S1 did. We aren’t P+ subscribers.

It’s getting worse, right? Feels like his acting gets worse by the episode….

Daredevil: born again.
I didn't love the beginning, (sigh) but have hopes it will be good. The obvious parallels with a criminal taking over government are a nice touch, and the acting is excellent.

RIP and goodbye to the humanizing elements of daredevils friends... new friends are ok but we'll see.

I’m behind an episode. E4 felt a lot like S2… which is a choice.
