Follow-up: Why is there sometimes a 1-second hesitation when I click on apps/menus? - Weird issue

Due to the way that the forums are setup, I am unable to bump the following thread:

http://forums.macnn.com/90/mac-os-x/...nd-hesitation/

Therefore, I have to create a new thread to quote a post contained within it.

When I ran the basic (3-minute) hardware diagnostic check, the console showed the following problem:

"Alert!" - and then it gave me this code after the test was complete:

4HDD/11/40000000 SATA(0,0)

I'm seeing this quite a bit online, indicating a defective hard drive. (But I never hurt this computer.)

And once again I run the hardware test on my computer today (keep in mind I have already had two hard drive replacements) and this error message came back again.

Seriously? Don't tell me that I have yet another defective hard drive...

Is the MacBook Air supposed to be a normally-defective machine like this?

Yes, the MacBook Air is supposed to be a defective machine. Obviously.

*sigh* I can always count on you for support... but seriously I really would expect that more Macbook owners than just I and a few others are being affected by whatever this problem/code is.

If the solid-state drive replacements keep failing, then the solid-state-drives probably are not the problem.
