Hi,

Is there a way to reset the fans on my 1.8 Ghz iMac G5 ?

It seriously sounds like a low pitched leafblower on Automatic and even noisier on Highest cpu setting.

I guess I have one of those rev.A boards that has some issues with it.

I wonder if it does any good to try and reset the fan controls or whatever.

Please help a man in need of a fix.

If the iMac G5 is like the PM G5, the only way to calibrate the fans is by getting it serviced. Have you tried restarting recently?

Serviced as in sending it for repairs ?

I had the same problem. After months of calling Apple they finally allowed me to trade my iMac in for a PowerMac.
