Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Their father died about two months ago; their extended hiatus was because of that.
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

I did not realize that! Too bad.
In the Fhqwhgads email, The Cheat was using a tangerine iMac. Good to see he's upgraded.

Perhaps that was just their explanation so as not to make the site a 'downer.'

Well, after a death, it's not a bad idea to take a break.

No, they really did take a vacation.

Don Chapman (their father) died on April 15, 2006.

There were a few toons posted after he died and before they went on vacation. The HRWiki explains it. See "Explanations" at the link I posted.

I always wondered how people found out info about those guys. Not to mention how on earth they made money off the site.

Well, the people who run the HRWiki are extremely obsessive about every little detail and are willing to track down all sorts of mundane details, and the Chapman Brothers (aka Brothers Chaps) make enough money from the merchandise they sell to do it as a full time job.
