How to get that URL spring back on the dock?

Hi,

How on earth do I get that URL spring icon back on the Dock like when Panther is first installed ?
There's No Offposition On the Genius Switch - David Letterman

Drag a URL from any browser into the Dock.

I thought that Firefox couldn't do that, but it turns out that it can as long as you drag an actual link, not the URL in the location bar.

You learn something new every day.
