I have a Dell 2005FPW that I have connected to my PC via DVI. I like to use it with my powerbook when I'm at home as well and for convenience (not having the unplug the DVI from the PC) I've been using the VGA connecter with the DVI/VGA adapter that comes with the PB. I've noticed that there are faint vertical lines across the display when I do this. When I hit the auto-adjust button on the display the lines typically reappear in other places. I'm guessing this is an artifact of the signal conversion? Does anyone else see anything like this?
15" MBP, 2.33 GHz C2D, 120GB HD, 2 GB RAM, OS X 10.4. 4GB iPod Nano.

I'm typing this now on my old TiBook 667/DVI hooked up to my company's Dell 2001FP via the VGA cable and DVI-to-VGA adapter and I don't see any funky lines.

I normally use the Mac's native DVI as my work PC has only VGA out (I don't see lines using that either).
