I'm trying to plug my Macbook into an older TV that uses the round cables rather than S-Video. I have the Mini DVI -> TV adapter, and an RCA cable that I repurposed from a stereo. I can't get a picture to show up on the TV.

Am I doing something wrong?
Is there a difference between video-RCA cables and audio-RCA cables?
and if not, what do you think I'm doing wrong?
I tried both PAL and NTSC (and I'm pretty sure that Israel uses PAL)
what else is there?

This may be a stupid question, but have you set the TV to use the auxiliary input? RCA cables are interchangeable.
