Recently, whenever i choose "Sleep" from the apple menu my iMac G5 Shuts down, rather than sleep. I've searched around and couldn't find this problem anywhere. Does anyone here know what might be causing this and possible ways to fix it?
Thanks

im sure in OS 9 that there was a "Shut down instead of sleeping" in OS 9 Energy saver preferences. try looking in the prfs. for something like that.

That comment was in the Energy Saver panel, and referred to scheduled sleeps and shutdowns. I doubt it applies here, as that machine does not even run OS 9.
Tricky. Have you tried resetting the PRAM?
