I'd like to hear about two aspects of the new iBook G4:

1) How often does the fan come on, and how loud it is

2) How fast can you burn a CD

I bought an iBook 800 last November, and I thought the fan came on way too often (and it was a noisy, irritating fan). My old Thinkpad T20 had a fan come on all the time, but it was like a whisper in comparison. Also, my old iBook 800 wouldn't burn faster than 4x, even though the burner was supposed to be a 16x.

Did they ever fix this in the later models?
