Someone sent me this:

http://www.rcac.purdue.edu/rackanode/

It's a flash game on the basics of clustered supercomputing. It's also supremely addicting.

Just thought I'd share...

Sadly all I have learned is how much flash sucks on the Mac.
I like the game, but flash just isn't very responsive on my machine.

That's what I've heard from other people...someone was playing that on a brand new 21" Intel iMac, and said it was slower than her Vista machine.

I can't get past level 10.

They played it on a machine that doesn't exist? Impressive.

Ha, no sooner had I written that than I got to level 7 and it locked up my entire browser. Argh.

Yeah, this is cool. Unfortunately, I too started beach balling at level 7. Maybe an upgrade to Flash 10 will help.

That's assuming we have said malware in our possession. And that we don't just go play Halo.

It seems like once I hit level 7 the lifespan of the projects drops drastically.

Yeah. It makes it impossible to get much farther in the game.

I haven't figured out the secret yet. Someone got like 115,000 points. I want to know his secret.

The fact that he wrote the game might have something to do with that, I suppose.

I was hoping that after Adobe bought Macromedia we'd see some improvements. Nope. Then I hoped that after Apple switch to Intel we'd see some improvements. Nope.

When it comes to flash, a 166MHz Windows 98 machine will run circles around a Quad Xeon running OS X.

Don't worry, it'll get optimized for a 64-bit Mac OS.

Why is it, that after the confession "I want to share" nothing good shows up?

Would you like me to share something juicier?

I'm a pre-op transvestite who managed to get out of Jonestown just before their final White Night of Doom™. I have five illegitimate children and once managed to steal forty thousand dollars from the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

I'm also the real Emissary. That Sisko is such a poser.

I'm more for violins, so your brassplaying doesn't impress, and the power of two is pathetic.

You are the troll (at least as high as six pieces of cheese stapled on top of each other) who tries to stick his self-description to others for personal relief.

Congratulations!
