Hi all, I am getting ready to purchase a 12" used powerbook from ebay and was doing some research. am i correct i assuming that all 1.5ghz models support two finger scrolling and two finger right click. to the best of my knowledge there werent any 12" powerbooks with a g4 1.5ghz processor until the final powerbook revision. all that was before that was the 1.33 model. i am still somewhat new to the mac arena and dont want to buy something ill regret later. and one more thing (wonder where ive heard that before ) were all the 1.5 12" models made after 2005? please comment and help me on my quest!

And what are the major differences between a 12" powerbook and a 12' ibook?

yes it has two finger scrolling and clicking, and if it didnt...there are third party apps that allow it.
as for the differences, alu case, better keyboard, smaller size (not a big deal, like splitting hairs), faster processor, more vram, closed lid capabilities, and audio in.

yes, but the powerbook is faster, slimmer, better screen (altho not as good as the 15" powerbooks) better keyboard...it's my fave mac ever (and i've owned a bunch).
if u can get a good price on a good condition 12" 1.5, go for it.
check the hd size (80g was the default max), and does it have a superdrive?
mine is relatively new (applecare thru 2009), and i love it (altho, yes, it's not as fast as my intel mac). just a great design, size.

Yes, there's basically only one model of 12 inch 1.5 ghz, the only possible difference would be superdrive vs. combo drive. When the 15 and 17 inch got upgraded in 2006, the 12 inch only got a price drop.

g4/1.5 GHz 12 inch powerbook / 1.25 RAM / 80 gig / Superdrive / 10.5.6
g3/400 MHz Pismo / 640 RAM / 40 gig / Combo Drive / 10.3.9

I miss my 12" PB...
Why is Apple obssessed with making notebooks thinner instead of smaller?

me as well.
would have been more impressed with "best small notebook" instead of "thinnest notebook".
oh well...
