Yes, all those options, easy enough for any user to understand.

Thurott is another CNN/ZDNET Windows PR flack apologist disguised as a journalist. I will wait until ars or Dan Gilmor of the SJ Mercury for a real review.

- "Look at the GUI options!"

Do they have options for:

- Single menu bar at top of display
- Consistent, but not overwhelming keyboard shortcuts and features in all apps
- Subdued, aesthetically pleasing, non-distracting colour scheme
- non-"hyperactive flea" mouse tracking mode
- spacial file browsing windows
- english-like scripting language
- attention to detail (implementing features in all areas where expected)
- piece-o-crap meter for third party applications

If they implement these options, they may have a real nice product on their hands.

FYI, it's spelled "spatial". I'm not normally uptight about spelling, I make enough typos of my own, but I'm seeing this one misspelled so frequently, that it appears people are thinking that it is supposed to be spelled with a "c".

hayesk, I apologize if you honestly made a mistake in typing and not spelling.

Ok moderator, let's close this topic. I'm tired of seeing XP in the forum topics. This forum is for OS X!!

Maybe not close it, but how about banishing the XP stuff to the Lounge where it belongs. Discuss it there all anyone wants. That's what the Lounge is for.

Please, please, please listen to adamtki. Close all thread that are specifically oriented to Windows XP. It's getting a bit ridiculous... unless, of course, you intend this to become the WinNN forum.

If so, please excuse my (sic) naivete!

That's right. This thread doesn't belong here. If you want to discuss Windows, GO TO A MICROSOFT DISCUSSION FORUM.

Yeesh -- You would think someone is forcing you to read it. The threads are well-labeled!

XP sucks
XP is much slower than 2000
XP crashes 2 times a day on my Pentium Pro 200
XP must have software rewritten for it, drivers included

Same criticism for OS X. Differences: OS X can run Unix programs.

Based on those screen shots it needs all the options it can get. That is one ugly interface. I thought XP was supposed to be a step forward?

Moving to The Lounge.

I understand that XP and OS X are related, but unless it's a XP vs OS X kind of thread, it really doesn't have anything to do with this forum.

thanks
