Sorry if I'm late to the party but I just saw this wonderfully executed ad on the NY Times homepage. Stellar!

My stupid iPhone game: Nesen Probe, it's rather old, annoying and pointless, but it's free.
Was free. Now it's gone. Never to be seen again.
Off to join its brother and sister apps that could not
keep up with the ever updating iOS. RIP Nesen Probe.

Now that is good advertising. That’s the first of the PC vs. Mac ads I’ve really liked.

Hrm, doesn't seem to want to play for me. Just sits there. Maybe its my office's filters or something. I'll try when I get home. Looks like a good one though.

Yeah, I just saw that. It's awesome. I'm wondering why they have a Wallstreet Journal quote in the NYT though?

macintologist, C.A.T.S. was nice enough to post that but as you can see, it just doesn't translate, plus it's a vid and the way it operates is just beautiful. You really need to see and hear it to dig it, trust me. Turn your ad blocker off or watch it on another machine.

I'm conflicted.
On one hand, I love the ad...funny, unique, Apple.
On the other hand, as a journalist, I'm a bit disturbed by how much space is given to the ad. Yikes.

It just sat there for me-I have Flashblock running in Firefox-until I enabled both the side bar and the top bar Flash content. Then it ran.
"Got the whole Internet to correct..." Very cute.

Hah... Love it.
It's a Not joke. Reminds me of the Borat movie scene.

pretty good advertising I would say. I'm impressed that apple has managed to infiltrate to that degree.

For those who missed it, it's on youtube now.
thanks turtle, for the "broken sign" ad, I hadn't seen that before and I agree it probably is funnier when it starts flashing like that but the way PC enters the top banner in the new one is brilliant. The banner message is just damn potent too.
