I insert the game disc and start the installation, however when it gets about halfway through it asks for the data disc, which i happily insert. Well it reads the disc, mounts the disc for about .07 seconds then dismounts the disc and ejects the disc. And still tells me i need to insert the data disc.

I've looked at the data disc by itself and the disc is fine. Any ideas?

Weirdness. I've got B&W loaded on an 800 MHz G4 iBook with 640mb, and IIRC, it loaded andinstalled just fine.

got in contact with Zonic and Feral the distributors of the game. Apparently they had shipped some mismatched discs a ways back, and apparently i got 2 sets of them. So they're sending me a new set of discs, however in the mean time they gave me a quick work around to get it installed at least.

ok, this is almost totally off topic....but...

I tried to remove Black and White, and when I go to empty the trash, it says parts of it are still in use.

Try restarting and see if it is still in use. This will clear it up most of the time. If it is still "in use", you can always boot into OS 9 (I'm OS 9 rusty, Option+delete?) and trash said files, or use something like Cocktail to trash the untrashables.
