Ok, so I am trying to record with the built in microphone, but the fan seems to be running non stop while I try to record, and leaves this bad sound in the background. Has anyone else had this problem. It is a 15" 1.5 ghz

Yep, all the time.
I thought it was a Titanium issue...You might want to reduce processor load before starting recording. AFAIK Alu PowerBooks have better passive heat management routines on their chassis. And don't forget to check top or Activity Monitor for processes hogging up the CPU.
