Sorry for the rather unhelpful thread. My Dell monitor appears to have died. I still get the default display (telling me which input I've selected, etc), but I can't get a digital or analogue signal from my MP or MB. I can't test another display at the moment.

It seems to have died. I'm just puzzled that the screen itself still diplays default messages. Any similiar experiences or advice?

Model number escapes me - it was one of the earlier 20.1" widescreen displays, with USB ports and rotating stand. Similiar to the 207WFP.

I'll get a new display if needs be, but want to make sure I can't sort this one first.

I'd pickup a new display - they're cheap enough and then if it works right out of the box you know what the problem is.

Yup, it was definitely dead. Got one of the newer, cheap Dells but it wasn't up to scratch. Nasty banding. Tracking down a decent non-TN replacement has been tricky... Finally found someone dealing refurb 2007 SIPS displays, so awaiting delivery.
