Hi all,
After daily use since I bought it new in September '05, the screen on my loyal PowerBook G4 12" has developed a fault.
However, since September, I've worked in computer repair and fortunately, have managed to lay my hands on a "spare or repair" iBook G3 (Dual USB) 12" for nothing.
Before I strip both down, I just need to know whether the screen from the iBook will be compatible with my PowerBook. The models are:
Patient: PowerBook G4 12" (1.5GHz - September '05)
Donor: iBook G3 12" (600MHz)
Any help will be greatly appreciated,
Thank-you.
Clive

Thanks guys. After sourcing an identical replacement, I saw that although the screens use the same connector, the cable for the iBook screen is too short to fit the PowerBook.
Thankfully, my PB is now back to normal - I'm actually pretty damn impressed with how long it's lasted (being used at 100% brightness 4+ hours a day for 4.5 years).
