I am not a video guy. I have to do a 5 minute video audition for a teaching gig tutoring students. Fair enough. When I use Photo Booth to capture my brilliant little 5 minute bit, everything is reversed. When I hold up a sign to emphasize a point, it looks like a mirror image: backwards.

I am on an iMac using 10.6.8
Photo Booth is 3.0.3
Can't seem to find a way to flop it. Photo Booth will flop still pix but not video, from what I can tell...
I do have the usual Mac stuff like iMovie but have never used it. Is the answer in there?
(Meanwhile I have created flopped signs so they look normal in Photo Booth, but now my part is on the wrong side of my head! This is horrible. )

Any clues? Hints? I do not want to be the man in the mirror.

Yes, photo booth reverses the image so left is left and right is right when you're looking at the computer.

Is there any way I can flop it? Some software? Some trick? Some small offering to the gods?

Take a five-minute look at iMovie. It's really simple there, and you already have it.

QuickTime Player will record un-mirrored video.
