I've never understood the need for an application to store and display icons like this... not that it's not cool but what does this do that a folder full of icon files displayed as icons do?

I mean (oh you can make albums of icons) when I can add a new folder and store icons in there as well.

Just about the only thing I can think of that's cool is the export to iContainer, but icontainers are kinda stupid anyway, being a closed format and all.

(just playing devils advocate)

yo meister !

wise words Mr.Guru, especially as you're an 'icon meister maker' yourself -
And begining another pixadex debate/topic in the screenshot one is probably
a bad idea - but here goes...

I own a couple of macs and can now transplant 'icontainers' of iconized categories between 'em - with total visual proficiency.
Yes this could be achieved within the finder but I and many others also use image-viewers instead of relying solely on the finder to view graphics, because of the small touches developer's bring to the mix that make it a pleasure.

I purchased iCandy for the very same reason - hacking the HIToolbox.rsrc/SystemIcons.rsrc was becoming tedious -
iCandy made it a simple/gratifying job on multiple 'puters.

As I was saying in the specific Pixadex forum topic -
'krippling-time' is the most sedate form of hedonism involving a 'puter I can know of.
and this Application, as you so rightly put it - is very near the apex of GUI 'krippling-time' for a dull 5 minutes.
( theme building/hacking is still number one )

written on a very cool gadget.

I love it! You are doing just what Apple should have done with panther! Is this theme only for Panther or will there be a Jaguar version released soon? Or is it just a Jaguar theme? What's the estimated release date?

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

This new 20" Apple LCD is ridiculously better than the 17" version I replaced it with.

You would probably love some of the widescreen desktops from mandolux + plasma design with a new 20" LCD.

Believe it or not, but FatalE v1.0 is actually in the works... here's the proof:

:: click image for full size ::

For those familiar w/ the theme, the change so far should be obvious... a wicked (imho) brushed metal interface. Also, I intend to finally nail down the scrolling glitch. Unless I find much else to update, v1.0 should be out the door fairly soon... after the same updates have been made to FatalE Black.

I am usually using a variety of icons, but most are from the SNOW.E2 series.

The custom ones are icons I made with Can Combine Icons. They are just icons I like and mix / collage together.

you can download the smileys here

I did not make the smile myself, just took it
from an earlier post and scaled and colorized it.
