I have a MDD 1ghz PowerMac bought almost one year ago exactly. I am moving into a new apartment and to avoid stringing wires everywhere of couse am going wireless with my roomate. So here's the problem: I'm a home, computer is at school, and that's 500 miles away. Off the top of your head does anyone know if my computer works with AirPort or AirPort Extreme? The Apple Genius at my local mall didn't know and Apple's website has become sparse wth G4 info since the G5 rollout. I'm GUESSING its original AirPort since I think AirPort Extreme is less than a year old but I'm not sure...

It uses the original. That's what I'm using with my MDD.

Hi!

Are you sure the 1GHz machine was available a year ago? I don't think it's that old, is it? Never mind, if I'm not mistaken, the FW800 machines - including the 1GHz - use Airport Extreme, the older (and newer) ones "normal" Airport.
