With the great controversy over the lack of software to theme the MacTel OSX GUI, I began to wonder what the differences are.
Is it only that there isn't an intel version of the application software? If so, why can't Rosetta deal with this?
Is it that the images that are required to change are in a different location for the MacTel OS X? If so, is it harder or easier to theme the MacTel GUI?
Since there are many with these wonderful new machines, and because I will be getting a MacBook Pro here in the coming weeks, answers to these questions is very important.
Could you shed some light on these questions Smeger?
Would you give us some insight as the normal workings of Unsanity, or how far along you are with the completion of ShapeShifter for Intel Macs?
Thanks,
R

Here's a good article by the themepark creator.:

Basically Apple has made 2 different extras.rsrc files, one PPC (Big endian) and one Intel (Little endian). OS X on intel cannot read the PPC extras.rsrc, therefore it screws up the system if the intel version is replaced with the PPC version. A new themepark will hopefully allow output of both formats.

Additionally, Rosetta apps use the PPC extras.rsrc file and Intel native apps use the extras2.rsrc file.
