Hi,

I bought a mini-dvi cable for use with my iMac (intel). I wanted to hook it up to my tv so that I could project movie files onto the television set.

However, when I use the adapter with a Monster Video s-video cable, I get weird blue flicky lines on the tv. It looks odd. When I sort of play with how far the s-video cable is connected, the tv display goes black and white and then there aren't any wacky lines of distortion. How strange! Meanwhile, the standard video (RCA yellow) doesn't work at all with my tv.

Do you think I have a faulty Svideo cable? Or perhaps the iMac or TV is to blame? Any insights on the distortion / blue lines? They are most noticeable when there is black to display, and it seems very annoying.

thanks,
