Hello All,

Not sure if this is where it goes (forum wise...), but here goes:

It would be really sweet if there were a Quartz Composer desktop image / screen saver that looked / functioned like the Sony PSP "tentacle" looking stuff.

It would essentially be the aqua desktop, but animated.
The gradients would move in appealing directions / rates. The gradients would have transparency so as to show the other gradients passing behind in layers.
Wherever the edge of any gradient intersected with another, a layering blend effect would occur as to imply that more light were happening at the intersection.

A visual reference can be viewed here:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...79642768429056

If it has to be a screensaver, there are apps out there that can make the QC saver act as a desktop...

Here's hoping!

It would be nice. A resource hog sure, but I remember I used to run some simple screensavers as desktops and they were quite relaxing.

1. Check out Movie Screen Saver by Vijusoft. You will need to find some art first OR make your own movies/flash movies and set them up in the "playlist".
2. With the help of BackLight2 run MSS as your animated wallpaper.

in action - 85 MB file and probably not worth viewing so consider yourself warned...

You can skip the MSS step if you know how to make a ScreenSaver and run BL2 to activate it as the wall. There might be a terminal way to do all this but I suffer from Terminal Fear.
