Anybody know a good BT mouse?

I have tried the Apple Mighty mouse, but the scroll ball gums up all the time.

Also tried the Logitech VS270, but there is no good Mac support -- the scroll speed cannot be tweaked well, and the power management features don't play nice with the ones on my Mac.

Cheers,

Nike

I've decided that there are no good BT mice. I went for Logitech's VX Revolution 2.4 ghz wireless mouse. The usb transmitter is only 1inch long, stows away inside the mouse, and acts as a power switch (turns the mouse on when removed from the mouse, turns it off when replaced).

well, I too was looking at the Logi 270, and it's hard to believe there's not a slew of good ones out there yet. Logitech needs to make a normal full size mouse like their MX line but in bluetooth.

I found this, looks interesting maybe, I don't know much about it:

Wireless Bluetooth Mouse, Rechargable, BT-500 - Radtech Products

Features:

- Smooth tracking, maintenance-free 800 dpi optical technology
- 3-button control plus scroll wheel make navigating your workspace a breeze
- Center button can be assigned by applications - perfect for Expose' & Dashboard
- BT Class II - Supports the standard HID profile for use with any device
- 10 Meter free space range - control your notebook from across the room
- Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum technology minimizes interference from other devices
- Optimum size for fatigue-free ergonomic use and mobile portability
- Use with non-BT equipped computers requires a USB Bluetooth adapter
- Power switch conserves battery power when not in use or stored
- Use RadTech's free RadMouse HID driver for unparalleled control in Mac OS X
- Use X-Mouse Button Control for mouse button configuration in Windows

I don't get what the big fascination with cordless input devices is. Just because it's "cooler"?

For me, it's that I like my mouse on the left of the keyboard, and girlfriend likes it on the right. Either we have a bloody long cord, or we go wireless....

Cordless is nice for using with laptops and on the go. Don't have to worry about wires all over the place.

If you use your left hand, don't get the Logitech VX or MX. They are right-hand only.

I just bought the Logitech V270 and it works fine for my purposes. It took a few minutes of tweaking to get used to the tracking speed, though.

I still like my Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth. Only problem is there is no on/off/recharge ability.

I personally look at the MX1000 Bluetooth as the "best" BT mouse overall, but as Wiskedjak said - it's right-hand only.

Other than that, it's great. On/Off switch, comfy ergonomic design, plenty of buttons and reliable tracking.
You can only get it in a set with a Keyboard though - I simply bought the Logitech diNovo set, took the mouse and passed the Keyboard and Keypad on to my father.

My girlfriend uses the Logitech V270 with her MBP and she loves it. The battery life seems to be okay.

Motorola Droid | 2.2 Froyo
Playing together nicely!
