Yeah, that one with Barry Bonds and Hank Aaron was great. My favorite, though, was that AT&T commercial for this mlife thing, the one where they finally gave everything away and said what it was. I missed that Bud Battlebots commercial, though.
Is there anywhere I can download some of these? I would go to adcritic.com, but they went offline.

(not in that order)
Can't help with places to download if Adcritic is down - although MSNBC is streaming some of them via WMP - just go to there home page, and there is a link.

Where was Apple with an iMac commercial??? They release a great product, and then nobody knows it exists except us Mac heads. What a shame.

Apple wasn't the only company to sit this one out.

Schmirnoff Ice - The one with the two white guys trying to dance in the hip hop video.
Bud Light - Cedric instructing the guy at the bar.
Computer Associates - The same one APU mentioned.
I missed all of the commericials they shown during halftime. I was too busy watching the Playmate Fear Factor.
... still waiting for ca$h to post here. $10 says he picks the Britney Spears Pespi commercials.

I got a kick out of Pepsi spending all that money only to have the FOX camera catch Paul Tagliabue (sp?) drinking a Coca Cola at the game.

I can't believe the forums have stooped so low to the point that people are actually discussing their favourite commercials - no wonder cash hangs around here - you guys make him look real smart.

Hey, it's a tradition to discuss the Super Bowl ads. They're often the best part of the whole thing.
This year, most of them sucked, though. The Budweiser robot ad was the only one I found funny. The rest of them were just dull. And that E-Trade ad - when are they going to quit rehashing the same ad they've been running for the last 2 or 3 Super Bowls with only minor variations and do something *different* for a change?

Heh, I was prepared to Tivo the commercials and fast forward the game if it got too bad...
Men in Black 2!!
-also-
I liked the E*Trade commercial with the monkey, though it was a little tiring at the end...
And the Pepsi commercial i kinda liked....(takes cover with andrew)
Hank Aaron and Bonds was fun too.
Was it just me or were the ads just *not* up to their usual caliber this year?

On the whole, they were pretty lame. Bud was the only one that put much effort into it. I don't know if it was the recession or what, but I don't recall seeing so many "normal" adds during a superbowl in recent years. A lot of the commercials were the same ones we saw every sunday during the regular season. Pretty lame.

At least the game made up for the poor quality of the ads...
I'll go with the Bud battle-bots, the Yahoo dolphin and the Blockbuster rabbit & hamster (or was it a guinea pig?).

We need the Bud Bowl! God that was always so funny. Come on, bring back the Bud Bowl...the Fridge, all those guys.
From this year, I did like the Bud Battlebots, Cedric's advice on dating, and the Blockbuster ad. The Clydesdales was touching but a little odd. All in all not a great ad season, but that's ok. the game was actually entertaining for once.

Yeah, about those TPS reports, didn't you get the memo?
