i would think that toronto and vancouver - maybe montreal too - are big enough warrant a store should apple ever decide to expand north. i would not hold my breath waiting though.

Damn that was an odd request. If you can find a way to haul her down she is all yours

Supposedly an Apple store is planned for the 'super mall' they are building in Vaughn (just outside Toronto).

If I remember correctly, I read an article a while ago saying that there are a lot of Canadians who use Macs. There's certainly a lot that use them out on the West coast in Vancouver and Victoria. If Apple were smart, they'd put stores in London, Waterloo, Toronto, etc., near the universities. There are two universities in Waterloo within close distance of each other, and excellent locations for a store. There's also a college. This is the same as place like London, Toronto, etc. Around campus I see a lot of people with Apple laptops; there are lots of various labs with eMacs, G5's, G4's, and old gumdrop iMacs. There is a computer store with lots of Apple advertising/products at my university, and there is an Apple reseller, but the Apple reseller is way out from the universities/Uptown area. Apple could easily attract more customers if they made their products more accessible instead of relying on online sales here in Canada, or at least helped out the resellers that are here in these cities.

Whereabouts is Vaughn? I hope it's west of Toronto.

Come on everyone, we all know where Apple would put a store if they put one in Canada...
WINNIPEG!
Hey hey stop laughing! Come on Winnipeg with our high % of homosexuals, they must have a massive market for men who want cool technology that has style! Well least if over done stereo types hold true...
I just want an Apple Store... I have no idea how profitable it would be... the problem is Apple needs to have reasonable prices before they come to Canada because our dollar is so crappy I think they'd probably only sell iBooks and Power Books and maybe G5s if they were up here.

Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

you want to explain how it is gay?
probably not, eh?
also, in that same context, you're gay.

And back to the question at hand, yeah I think we'll get an Apple store - just as soon as we get iTMS.

Why should you again? What have you done

Does that help you out? I should remember

If they do open in Vancouver, I hope it's not in Downtown. I hate going downtown. The parking is expensive, and the traffic is crazy. [/ot rant, lol]
Ideally they should open on West Broadway, but there are already at least two shops that sells Apple products along that (long) street, so next best would be in Oakridge Centre
C'mon Apple. Come to Canada!
