I received my 500 gig Time Capsule as soon as Apple started shipping them and like many others, I had my share of problems. The most recent update fixed some of the issues, however, I still lose connection to my Time Capsule every couple of days. I'm really worried about the quality control with Apple. I hope its not a hardware issue and only a software one, but I don't think I can rely on this to backup my data. I never have a problem with my internet connection, but Time Machine just can't find my TC. Anyone else with this problem?

I've only had my 1TB TC for three days, but it seems to be backing up my MacBook and my wife's PowerBook fine. In fact, I had occasion to test it when my new MacBook's hard drive died two days after I bought my TC. I just did the restore and everything appears to be where it was last night when the drive died. It's sort of miraculous, really, and I hope I don't find anything missing someday. Of course this is only based on 3 days experience so I'll report back if I encounter any of the problems you mentioned.

Well yesterday it just wouldn't back up. The only solution I have found to work is to delete the backup file on the Time Capsule and do the initial backup over again.

When you say this, are you experiencing wireless connection issues, or is the device just being ornery?
