Got this over at DailyKos...
if 2008 Prez election was today here's how folks on that site voted for the Dems. - 26% for Clark. That really surprised me, even though I had cast my vote for Clark as well. And Hillary's 6% was surprising as well. Of course the poll is meaningless at this point but interesting...
Bayh 179 votes - 1 %
Biden 212 votes - 1 %
Clark 3048 votes - 26 %
Clinton 695 votes - 6 %
Edwards 1398 votes - 12 %
Feingold 2231 votes - 19 %
Kerry 255 votes - 2 %
Richardson 588 votes - 5 %
Vilsack 61 votes - 0 %
Warner 1672 votes - 14 %
Other 325 votes - 2 %
No frickin' clue 696 votes - 6 %

I would have preferred Clark as well, but he was well out of the primaries when it came time to vote here...
He would have been the perfect "anti-bush", if you will; a four-star general with real war-time experience, both taking orders and leading; has proven diplomatic skill; taught economics and political philosophy at West Point; a Rhodes scholar; doesn't have the political baggage that a Kerry or Clinton would have; and he even had that southern accent that the "Red States" always seem to fall for. The only problems, his strategists got it completely wrong giving him that "Mister Rogers" image, and he probably joined the race a little too late.
Wonder if he'll consider running again in '08.

Neither did the Republicrooks, but it didn't stop them from fooling a lot of people.

Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

The other problems were that Clark was a former Republican who suddenly started hanging out with Michael Moore when he thought that would appeal to Democrats at a time when the Republican nomination was locked up. It made him look like a slightly loopy weathervane, not a credible leader.

None of the potential Democratic candidates excite me, yet.

I had my vote for Clark a few years back. I'd vote for him again.

She likes impulsive Rhodes scholars. He likes liberals.
