Good idea, but Finder shadows are gonna kill the translucence effect....
BTW, go on, I'd like to see the result of such an etheral theme.

Yep, Dave-O is right, perhaps white/grey could look more like light...

try changing the opacity of your layers to achieve the richness of color you are looking for.. the reason the red doesn't look right, is because it's too bright and rich all over...

That red will just burn your eyes if you using the theme for to long. I think a greay might look kinda like a ghost... might be cool.

I like where you going with this... keep us posted.

Will this actually be translucent or just appear so? Is translucency even possible?

Would be very nice though.

Translucency is not possible, I'm guessing you will need to be useing a solid color desktop to match the theme to get the full effect.

But it definitely looks awesome! Try white/grey, like someone said already, ghost look, sounds cool.

If only it was possible to make it translucent and have it blur stuff that's being seen through a window (make it look like frosted glass)

I'm waiting for the next incarnation of themepark to get this thing started. Until then, I'll be finishing up the icons I was working on for Siro.
