how do i open .sit and .hqx files in OSx, im new to mac and i want my demo of quarkexpress installed but i cant.
anyone please help me

Those are compressed file formats, and they are best opened by Stuffit Expander-which comes with the OS.

Once you expand them, the OS will recognize what they are and do at least most of the rest for you.

No, it doesn't. Suttit Expander needs to be downloaded separately. Big Mac provided the link.

I thought it came with the OS-it seems to have, at least a minimal version, with Panther.

thanks for the link, ill try it. tiger has already chosen stuffit as standart for opening .sit so i thought i had it.

Stuffit Expander used to come with the OS. Tiger was the first version of OS X to not come with Expander.
