I just phoned one of their 'dealers' and found out that they had no idea they were a dealer. BTW, the site is http://www.xtrem.com

This smells of a grand hoax.

Isn't supposed to be 1126Mhz when we say 1.1Ghz????

Something is getting fishy again....

If they market them as "simple metal jumpers" would people pay as much?

I am sorry about my poor spelling of the URL, I guess I stayed up too late. However, if you're going to abuse me, give it your best shot.

I was just glancing through the list of their "dealers". Some of the pages are actually kinda funny. One dealer is actually a high school student with some interest in graphic design. His mom said he wasn't in when I called but I could leave a message about "that computer stuff". I'm thinking that all these "dealers" had to do was fill out a form saying that they were interested. Certainly not what I would call a well-trained sales staff.
Yeah, about those TPS reports, didn't you get the memo?

If you go to the store at the site, you'll find that they're in the business of selling something called MacThrust, which is supposed to be an overclocking device of some sort, apparently. But take a look at the warning:

- On the cover it says "WARNING! This product may void your warranty", what does that mean?
By the time you receive your MacThrust the warranty of your computer should already have expired (the one-year warranty). If how ever this is not the case because you have bought extra warranty or if you bought the computer from the dealer later than one year ago then we want you to be aware that installing the MacThrust will void your warranty.

I have a feeling that even with AppleCare, you wouldn't get the product before the warranty expired
And that's true too.--Shakespeare, King Lear

So they've changed their website. Hooray.

When was the last time that they added something to their website? August 3rd was it? Something like that... Sounds like a legit company to me.

I'll believe that they can pull off something like this when I see it.

For the 15th time.

This site is a project for someones art class. Graphic and web design. Its only dummy site for a pretend company. People need to get over it already.

Actually the mac thrust would be legit. On the older style mobo's (G3/G4) with the ZIF socket, right close to the cpu is a jumper block. There is even a sticker over it that stats it voids warrenty if removed. The being is, this is where it can be over clocked at. Technicly you should be able to take apple's jumper block off the pins and slip the mac thrust block on. Then you should be able to easily over clock the cpu. So instead of using wire and sodering everything, you just flip a few dip switches.

Now as far as there computers, I'll beleve it when I can buy one. Nuff said.

HUH?

The jumper block on the B&W is on already there Just move its existing jumpers. So its really useless to buy the jumper block if sold from xtreme.

Imagine the size of that display. It`s a 24" and the screen looks pretty small inside it`s casing! Love the design thought, looks just like my rpm. gauge in my old 59`chevy :-)

You people.

They made this fake computer to get attention, then they sell these stupid jumper switches. If that is not enough they come out with this silly looking new monitor and a computer that is a tad slower. They are NOT shipping anything now and they won't.
i.e. VAPORWARE!

Actually, unless I'm very much mistaken, they not only speak English in Sweden, they speak EXCELLENT English in Sweden, possibly the best in non-native English-speaking Europe.

I could be wrong and it could be the Dutch who are the best English speakers. But yes, they speak English.

uhm......many macs are made in Taiwan are they not?
I don`t think geographical location will affect the endproduct in any way.
I could be mistaken of course :-)

I thought it was a preset molded non changeable jumper block. It's been so long I may be mistaken. That's why I figured the jumper block would work better.

I think what they are saying is that YES the jumper block is already there. But, to overclock the system, all you have to do is REMOVE the factory block, go to RadioShack, buy 5 or 6 individual jumpers (for about $1.59 each) and put them in the appropriate positions.....or use some left over jumpers from had drive installs like I did. Certainly ALOT cheaper and faster than the $59.99 block those extremer boneheads are selling....

And btw, the instructions for the jumper settings can be found here:
http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/G3-ZONE/yosemite/OC.html

good luck, HTH
