I concur.
I've seen them live at least a dozen times and I've met them twice. Awesome group of people = awesome music. And that's just flippin' awesome. I've been hooked since Girls Can Tell was released in 2001.
Funny story: I bought that CD back in 2001 solely based on the band's name alone. I thought it was simplistic genius. For some reason, I also found it wildly amusing. But hey, I was blown away upon hearing it, AND they're from Austin -- it must've been fate!

Very nice. The only band that trumps Spoon on my last.fm charts is Death Cab for Cutie. But they won't be overtaken anytime soon, unforunately.

Love Spoon. Girls Can Tell is definitely a fantastic album of fantastic-ness. I saw them in Toronto a couple years ago, and the Clientele opened for them which was also cool (although they're not a good live band). Great stuff.
