I'm thinking of buying a used computer and I have seen to good offers for about the same price:
1) 450 Mhz B&W G3, 128 MB RAM, 8.5 GB HD with Voodoo 3 and a Zip 250
or
2) 350 Mhz G4, 128 MB RAM, 10 GB HD and DVD

I think I'm gonna go with the G3 since I'm not doing anything Altivec-enhanced and thinking of buying a brand new computer in a year or so. Until then I just want something that can deliver decent frame-rates on games that my iMac chokes on.
What would you recommend?

The G4. Altivec helps loads; and that VooDoo 3 won't be used by many new games. It'd be a waste.

Go for the G4...

I'd suggest the G4 as well. Keep Mac OS X in mind too (if you're planning on running it). It will befenfit from the G4.
