My wife has a Macbook and I've got a Macbook pro. We've been very cautious about which power adapter is being used on the Macbook. What would happen if she were to inadvertently plug the Macbook Pro's adapter into her Macbook? I did a forum search and couldn't find anything.

Thanks

The MB can use the MBP power adapter, but the MBP cannot use the MB adapter. I'm using a MBP adapter on my MB right now. The "geniuses" at my local Apple Store only use the 85 Watt adapter behind the bar, becasue they can be used with either laptop.

I have used the 65W adapter with my MBP. It can charge the MBP if it's not running and it can run the MBP without charging the battery. It can't do both at the same time though.

Thanks for the info, this will make our lives a little bit easier. I'll probably buy an extra 85 Watt adapter for the household.

IIRC the MB's adapter can be used on a MBP, but only to charge, not sure though, never tested it myself.

EDIT: Doh! You beat me!
