I have a PS3 and an XBox 360. Right now I am using my PS3 primarily as a media streaming device (music videos and some downloaded TV shows) and I use it to watch DVDs and Blu-Rays (60GB PS3 with 2 controllers and Blu-Ray remote, bought off Craigslist last year for $150 ). I find that I have more flexibility with the PS3 as opposed to the XBox when it comes to the types of files it will play back. So far it has been working out just fine. I transferred a bunch of videos and TV shows onto the PS3 so I don't have to worry about streaming them. However, in doing so it has lumped all of the videos together in one big list under the "Video" section on the PS3 dashboard. Ideally I would like to organize these into folders. Is there any way I can create folders and do this right on the PS3? Or am I going to have to delete all of the videos, create folders on my computer, and transfer the folders onto the PS3?

Also, is there ANY way to get iTunes downloaded music videos to play on the PS3? I've tried all sorts of tricks and tried converting the files to different extensions and so far have had no luck.

Also, I considered just getting an Apple TV and letting that be my primary media streaming device, but I feel a little foolish doing that when I have two perfectly capable consoles already, and only a fraction of my media library is iTunes purchased content. Also, I prefer having the media stored locally on the device rather than having to stream it.

Thanks for the feedback.

I've been using Vuze for quite some time now for all of my downloading. I had no idea it had this capability. Thanks for pointing that out!
