That was way too close to loading the bases in the 9th.
They got lucky it didn't turn out worse. But how fun would it be to go out in NY tonight?

Yes, yes. Red Sox make history. Forcing this game 7 is awesome. The curse may finally be gone. Those 7 innings from Schilling were great. Storybook, pitching with a blood soaked ankle. Great game and it didn't take 14 innings.

WOOOT ... this series is giving me goosebumps .. i was so dissapointed at the 3-0 ... thought yankee's might sweep .. or more likely go 4-1 ... now it looks like they might finally win for once .. Go SoX

Today is going to be a great day for baseball. Game 6 of the NLDS and Game 7 of the ALCS. Our office will have TVs wheeled in for us to watch the Astros game. The anticipation in Houston is so high right now. It's going to be a long wait to 3:00!

Well it's like a national Holiday here in New England...for both sides.
No class or work for me tonight...it's game time.

Game 7, whoever wins? i'll be drunk.

The Red Sox are on a roll. Have made the history books by being the 1st team to come back from a 3 game deficit forcing a 7th game.

as a kid I remember being absolutely devastated when the Yankees lost in 81. Losing tonight would be a hundred times worse- only because it would be such a mark of shame we'd hear about it forever.

I hate what George has done to our team, I hate how they've bought up all these expensive stars, I hate that we have NOBODY in the minors (except maybe that catcher). I hate the circus of it all.

Yet it's killing me just the same. If we lose I'll be too ashamed to wear any Yankee gear again. What a frigging disaster. Those guys just look beat-you can see it in their eyes-from Jeter to Torre to Mariano Rivera.

My girlfriend is sleeping at a friend's house tonight....

Enjoy, Yankee haters-this may be your finest moment!

I think I want to see St. Louis hold on to their lead, because these two teams deserve to be seen by the entire country in Prime time tomorrow....

Frankly, the collective "you" (yankee fans) would deserve to hear about it forever, only because yankee fans have an annoying habit of degrading every other team in baseball when given an opportunity. I've seen people in yankee caps slow down and pull over in their cars to shout "Mets Suck!" at me when I wear my cap on the street.

They must have had the pleasure of taking in a game at Shea...

The Mets are a joke, who's running that circus anyway. But yeah, Yankee fans can be pretty obnoxious - but I got the same treatment from Met fans from about 86-92.

But thanks for reminding me of 2000, ahhhh that feels better. And hey, I rooted for the Mets in 86...

Positive thoughts...

The professor in my graduate class said he'd raise everyone's grades if the Red Sox win the World Series.

A few days ago I was resigned to having to study for the midterm. But I think my chances are looking up! Go Sox!

Remember, folks, these are the Red Sox we're talking about. And there's plenty of baseball left. I wouldn't call it a win until after the team charter leaves LaGuardia.

No, let me get on with my life.

4 championships in 5 years.

Why not break up this overpriced buncha chumps and start over (I'm talking about you ARod, Shef, Brown, Giambi (*retire*), Lofton) and rebuild.

Vasquez, he'll make a fine #5 starter one day...

Sounds a lot like the love-hate relationship that Mets fans have had over the past few years. Except, of course, that the Red Sox heritage of futility is just a little bit older, and goes directly through Bill Buckner's legs.
