came up on this deal, but will it work for my g4, 1.33 ibook? I really need the 1 Gb since I installed Tiger and the speed is killing me. Great deal, just want to make sure it will fit and it works, and how is kingston? Thanks.

Will it fit? Yes, probably just fine. Will it work? That's another question. The Outpost page doesn't give any specs beyond the speed rating. Kingston's recommended part number is KTA-PBG4266/1G.

Kingston's page for their 1GB upgrade part for your iBook lists several vendors and their prices-which are significantly higher than the part on Outpost.com. This makes me very suspicious about whether the Outpost.com part is really what you want.

I'd ask Outpost to give you more specs on that part. You need PC2100, CL 2.5 DDR in a 200-pin SODIMM package. The "CL 2.5" is critical.

I recently put a Kingston 1GB stick into my iBook and it's great. It's like a new machine. I bought from New Egg and paid about $150, which I thought was an OK price at the time. If this is the same stick it's a great deal.
Now that everyone knows it's just a matter of waiting for 1.20.09.

Oh, I bought the Kingmax brand. Looked on the newegg.com site but they didn't have it listed. Someone else here was saying that it worked well for them in the same model iBook so I bit.

Here is what was on my invoice:
SODIMM KINGMAX 1GB PC266 MSDD42D-KI (Serial#: 0BZZS60400000DH)

It was $144.73 plus shipping ($7.32).
