Macbook Pro Feeling Bloated

Ive had my Unibody Macbook Pro since they were released in October/November time frame. Ive since installed a good amount of things, and deleted some things, but for some reason i get this feeling of being bloated. Is there a program or way for me to sort of "spring clean" my laptop and get all the unused, unnecessary files, item and delete them without harming or crippling other programs? I used Drive Genius but when it deleted language and the PPC files, it crippled a few programs, namely VMWare Fusion and Parallels. Any help would be nice.

The best remedy against the bloat is to get a 500 GB HD, and put your original HD in an external firewire portable case.
Other than that, decide what's important and delete what you don't need. For example, if you don't use garageband then you can save almost 5 GB by deleting the supporting files. Culling your music to what you really use rather than what you only occasionally think you might some day listen to, that's another.
Best method of all is to cultivate peace of mind...

OmniDiskSweeper from OmniGroup is free and a nice utility for seeing what is taking up the most space on your Mac. I use it when I start getting low on disk space. There is a graphical app that does the same thing called Disk Inventory X/ for the more visual people. Hope this helps.

I also use AppZapper to make sure all of the files are deleted when I uninstall a program.

Thank you all for the replies. I have 140GB left on my Mac partition, and i have an 80GB Win7 partition for bootcamp so im decent on space. It just does not feel as fast as it used to. Or is it just me? lol
I deleted garage band from my computer and only have it on my bootable external FW drive so my 2 year old can bang on the keyboard and be occupied. I keep my itunes library on my Mirrored external also, to keep the laptop free of space and also as a loss prevention route.
Is OmniDiskSweeper better than Drive Genius?

It's very different.
ODS only shows you where the big chunks of data are stored on your HD.
You need to determine yourself if you want to delete it or not.
