I went to Best Buy to get a USB 2.0 hub for my parents so they don't have to figure out where to plug in their iPods. I was browsing the movies, and there it was, The Ice Pirates DVD, for $6.99! http://imdb.com/title/tt0087451/?fr=...c=1;ft=21;fm=1
Robert Urich, Anjelica Huston, and Ron Perlman goodness. What a great movie.
What other lame 80's movies do you have great memories of?
I have a few more, such as:
Flash Gordon
Transformers: The Movie
Return of the Jedi
G.I.Joe: the Movie (This movie and the original episodes are painful to watch now)
Tron
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
Weird Science
The Dark Crystal
The 'Burbs
and a bunch of action movies in the Iron Eagle and Navy Seals class.
Still looking for:
Strange Brew
Prayer of the Rollerboys
Some movie with a bluish-purple orb and everyone rides around on roller-skates in a post-apocolyptic world (Solar Babies, found it on IMDb)
Troll
Some skating movie where jocks and criminal skaters duel on skateboards, and Anthony Keatis plays some club and has hardly any tatoos
Joe vs the Volcano
Heman: Masters of the Universe.......
I'd like to get a comprehensive list of great horrible movies that are watchable over and over.

It's kind of short though, there were way more than 25 cheesy movies made throughout the 80's.
Also, I would put Goonies, Breakfast Club, and Ferris Bueller on a good 80's movies list.

Definately snagged the Holy Grail boxed set.
What was the Val Kilmer movie where the cows wore
rubber boots?

Amazon Women on the moon
Amazon.com
Contrary to popular rumor, this 1987 collection of comedy skits is not about a group of female employees from Amazon.com on a mission to the lunar surface. It's a series of unrelated spoofs and sketches designed to resemble an aimless night of TV channel-surfing, and the satirical targets include... Read more

Hahaha... Ice Pirates. I vaguely remember that movie. Something about space herpes and a castration machine.

What about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I & II. The third one sucked and could be titles cheesy/lame. Back To The Future I, II & III. I wouldn't title all these lame, but ya know, they're 80's movies.

Sorry, I cannot, in good conscience, consider Return of the Jedi "Cheezy." Classic maybe, never cheezy.

I'll give you Red Sonja and definately Conan the Destroyer, but Conan the Barbarian is one of the best movies to come out of the 80's.

TMNT came out in 1990, another one that would make the list from that year would have to be Godfather Part III
