Remember: It's a Konfabulator widget. I accidently deleted the permission email from mattahan. But I did put his "go ahead" in the readme file. Also, I did nothing else but modify the resources and change the .kon file to get things to work. Please to not distribute this as your own.

So you will notice that the About graphics are the same as the original.
thanks Fonzie i think i'm gonna have to break out the GANT icons soon

I cannot remember where I got it. I have somewhere near 1,000 desktop pictures that I've collected since around 2000.

Here is the original.
Here is the original with some Star Trek flavor.
Here is a different but equally awesome desktop

OMG

This rocks. How did you do that to the new mail notification? And the icons at the top right on the menu?

Thank you for the kind words!

@Sage, I just found it great for these icons.

@Tick, The new email notification is one I cut out of the mail icon in GANT- I can send/upload the PNG. Also the top right icons is Synergy and Konfabulator. The buttons are some from Umicons. I also have a GANT buttonset. I just made a backup of the original "Standard" folder in Synergy and put my icons in there. The same with Konfabulator.

Oh, just for the record, I also build myself a new copy of Adium 0.60 with Umicons images. So that it look like the iChat Patroller for Konfabulator.

Thousands of point elevation measurements from the laser altimeter (MOLA) on board the Mars Global Surveyer (MGS) spacecraft were processed by computer to create this three dimensional view of the largest volcano known (yet) in our solar system. This volcano stands 90.000 feet above its base, and yet its flank slopes are only about six degrees, similar to that of its cousin volcano Mauna Loa in Hawaii.

^NICE.

SIRO has always been one of absolute fav's - and that desktop is definetely one of the best I've seen it paired with.

Anyway, here's my take on it.

Theme | SIRO

Desktop background | 'aniki' from mandolux.com

Apps | VLC Media Player, iCalculator, iPulse, ImageWell

Menubar extras | Synergy, WinSwitch

As always, Carbon has great screen shots.

I wish DeskShadePlus didn't crash when you dragged files to the desktop though. I am always fouling it up when I have it hiding the desktop - since I am too used to dragged files there from time to time.

The desktop displayed here looks great. I tried to navigate and register on that angel-whatever site for about 20 minutes. Talk about a pain. I wish it were straightforward instead of self-congratulatory.

Oh well.

This is my first post on MacNN, so please be gentle.
I got my first Mac two days ago (a PB 12" Rev. C + iPod 15 GB) and am very happy. After 12 years in the darkness (Windows) I have finally found the light!

I saw on one of Makki's desktop posts on page 86 a thing on left. What is that and how does it work?
I could try to do a search, but I don't know what to search for...

See the image.

Ahh well, I always wondered if 'Helvetica Neue' is just a name or if it really means new Helvetica (in German Neue=New) and therefor is called 'NewHelvetica' in english spoken countries...

Unfortunetly I do not know where it came from but I am actually looking for more. I got it from a forum awhile back. Hopefully I can find where it originally came from.
