I just went out and bought the new thin iMac keyboard, i love it, however the multimedia keys on the top row doesn't seem to work with my powermac g5, i tried to see if i can configure it in system prefs, but it doesn't seem to let me. Is there a way to map all those keys on the first row to do what they're suppose to? Like, play, pause, next, previous, mute, vol up, vol down, brightness, expose, dashboard, etc?
The only key that seems to function correctly is the eject key. Everything else is a no go.

There's a software upgrade especially for this keyboard. Make sure you run "Software Update" from your Apple menu to install it.

No disc with either my wired nor wireless aluminum keyboard. But one did come with my Mighty Mouse.

Yep. But it does replace a significant portion of the Dock code and I'm sure it contains a ton of different language localizations. But, yes, it does seem silly for it to be that large. Version 1.1 of the same software was also that large.
