HighPoint Technologies continues to expand its USB 3.0 product portfolio, and has unveiled the
RocketStor 5411D USB 3.0 Drive Dock and Hub. The palm-sized docking station combines multiple USB 3.0 ports, a card-reader, SATA drive dock, and universal charging station into a single device.
Each of three USB 3.0 ports on the dock provide two functions: a universal USB charging station, and a single connection point for USB peripherals including printers, scanners, headsets, and input devices. The built-in audio jacks support headsets and recording devices, and an integrated Ethernet port allows users to access USB devices over a local network connection with Remote Wake Up via USB support.
The modular drive bay supports any industry standard 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SATA drives. The RocketStor 5411D is compatible with Mac OS X and Windows 8/7 power-saving modes. Hard disks inserted into the drive bay will enter a low-power state when the operating system is in sleep or standby modes.
The RocketStor 5411D will be available from HighPoint's distribution partners later this week, for $119.
