Hello,

I have come upon an old g3 233 which came with system 8.1. How would I get system updates for it and would they cost anything? I don't want to run OS9 but many applications suggest 8.6 as a minimum.

Thanks

Check eBay for 8.6. I saw a couple the other day pretty cheap.

You could also call up Apple and I'm sure they'd be happy to sell you a copy

You might also want to check the warehouse/inventory/whatever at your local CompUSA. Odds are they would still have some copies laying around.
