For your wonderful, wonderful Coke.

It's the cane that makes it so good.

It's amazing, isn't it? I'm not a soda drinker at all, but the few times I've had the US Coke I've gagged on the odd sweetness. Someone gave me the Mexican stuff with cane sugar, and man, what a treat. Muchas gracias!

They sell the Mexican Coke and Pepsi at Smart and Final . ¡Viva Hecho en Mejico! I haven't tried Pepsi Thowback. Mountain Dew Thowback is good.

Yep, the Mexican Cokes are the only ones I'll drink, we keep lots in the garage fridge.

I actually don't partake, but I keep it around to surprise guests.

When I can. This thread is in celebration of me finding a new dealer.

Interesting.

Where I live, Pepsi actually tastes different than elsewhere in North America, apparently - it is bottled at a local plant which uses natural granulated sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup found in the rest of North America. Soft drinkers from this province swear that Pepsi products made here taste different than anywhere else.

I can't verify, though....I stopped drinking carbonated beverages years ago, obviously with the exception of beer.

Coke here in the DR is made with cane sugar as well. I occasionally partake but soft drinks have never really been my thing.

Did some quick googling and it appears that the bottler of Mexican Coke has switched to using some HFCS for the Coke that is distributed in Mexico. Only the stuff exported to the States is made with 100% cane sugar. So if you go to Mexico and order a Coke, you might not bet getting what you expected.

I'm paying the Vietnamese noodle shack "convenience tax". I'd go farther afield if I was procuring in bulk.

Still, wouldn't be surprised if that's in the $2 range.

I went to the grocery store, partially to check on the going rate. There was no price listed, and I didn't feel like lugging it to the register, but Green River was $1.29 a bottle.

Couldn't find Garlic Tabasco. Original, Green, Chipotle, Habanero... no Garlic.

I got the Green Tabasco at Woodman's.

It's good, nice garlic kick, but won't replace my beloved Green Tabasco.
It's still too close to regular red hot sauce.
