If the ibook g4 combos are the same connector on the drive I can help you out.
I've also had about a 50% resuscitation rate soaking liquid-damaged optical drives in 70% rubbing alcohol, so you could give that a go if nothing else comes around.
I'll admit, I am comfortable taking the laptop apart, but I'm not sure which model drives will work and which won't. I didn't get a chance to double check last night, but I think the model number on my drive is 8221-C.
