Someone created a RAM disk of 33.3MB on my work computer and I would like to get rid of it. Does anyone know a quick and easy way (i.e. not paying for software) to do this? Thanks.

Can't you just turn it off in one of the control panels?!
(control-panel memory that is).

I just had a slight problem with a RAM disk as well. It wouldn't go away!
Here is what I suggest:
1. First fire up the Memory control panel. Hopefully you should just be able to switch off the RAM disk. if that option is blurred out.
2. Turn off AppleTalk.
3. Try # 1 again. You should be able to switch off the RAM Disk. (It was grayed out because of file sharing. After a restart, you should be able to turn AppleTalk back on and everything should be OK.

The RAM disk option might be greyed out also if Virtual Memory is enabled. Make sure to uncheck VM and then you can turn the RAM disk off. Of course you will need a couple of restarts in between.

If memory serves you need to erase the RAM disk before you can turn it off in the Memory control panel. You will then need to reboot. If that does not do the trick, you may need to put the RAM disk away after erasing it.
