Songs cut off on iPod?

	i've noticed a strange problem lately ... a lot of the songs i'm ripping are being cut off in the last 5 or 10 seconds when playing on my iPod. the ends of the song are just silent, usualy with exactly 5 seconds to go on the song. i've tried ripping in AAC and mp3. the only thing i can think of is to turn off the error correction option in iTunes and try again. the songs sound fine in iTunes though. any suggestions?
