gmail notifier not working

it stopped altering me when i have new mail. i've tried deleting the preferences and caches, reinstalling it, and repairing permissions. no luck. it's not a problem with my gmail account, which i can access fine, but rather with the notifier application itself. any ideas what's going on here?

Could just be Gmail since the Gmail widget doesn't seem to be working for me this morning.

Just a "me too" post. Does the old gmail notifier still work? I may reinstall that one and give it a try.

mines don't work either. when i have mail, it doesn't notify me. have to manually click the "inbox" -_-

Gmail introduces new features, including: inoperability of mac gmail notifier and RSS module on Netvibes as well as mail showing up about 24hrs after being sent. Thank you for playing!

Yep, mine was down for a day or so, but it's working fine again. Probably just some updates internally or something.
