Hi does anyone have any ideas why a 48X burner will only write at a max of 16X on a dual G4 450 running 9.1? Any help would be greatly appreiciated.

Update toast to 5.2, and make sure you are using blank CD-R media that can handle 48X speeds. Most 48X burners average between 24X and 32X speeds anyway. You only get true 48X speeds when writing to the outside edge of the disc.
