Do you guys think I should buy my iBook now, or wait for a month or 2 for the prices to go down. I heard that every year around January or so they have a big Expo and they release new products, and lower prices, etc.
BTW, im looking at an iBook 700mhz 12.1".

Apple released new iBooks pretty recently, so it is unlikely that they will release an update in January. My best guess for an iBook update would be sometime between April and July. I don't think that the prices are going to go down any more, seeing as Apple just cut the price on the low end model to $999. Rather than gradually cutting prices on models as they age, Apple tends to periodically discontinue old models and offer faster computers at the same price points as the old ones.
So if you want an iBook, now is probably as good a time as any to buy. You probably aren't going to pay less than $999 for an iBook 700, at least for a new iBook.

Apple seems to be going away from reserving big announcements for the expos. I don't think they'll ever fully go away from announcing things there, but I don't think we can expect all the hardware announcement at Macworld that we've had in the past.
And with the iBooks being so recently updated, I'd go for it. I don't think you're going to see any changes to the portables line in January...

Yes, me too, would say that new iBooks will come out sometime next April. Maybe they will get G4 CPUs, or a better Radeon video card.
But the current iBooks already fully support QE, they are 3rd generation desings of the original 500 MHz iBook (major bugs revised), so you shouldn't go wrong to buy a new one now. And also, you will have a new laptop in the next 4 months. ;-)
